Prime Minister, 1890 - 1896. Wealthy businessman - owner of DeBeers diamond mining company. Founder of the African country of Rhodesia. Also founded Rhodes University and established the Rhodes Scholarships to Oxford University. Never married. Most noted relationship was with Neville Pickering, who died at an early age of an accident and which devastated Rhodes. Never publicly confirmed his homosexuality.
