The goal of QueerBio.com is to be the definitive online biographical reference source for the international LGBTQ community. Its database lists over 6,000 contemporary and historical figures who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer, and includes artists, sports figures, politicians, entertainers, business leaders, academics, activists, and more. The database is widely international in scope and is an ideal source for research and analysis with full search and sort functionality.

The mission is to inspire, educate, and motivate all generations of LGBTQ individuals through a collective knowledge of this international community.

NOTED LGBTQ ARCHITECTS LED BY RENOWNED PHILIP JOHNSON

Philip Johnson

One of the most iconic and influential architects of the twentieth century was American Philip Johnson. He was the creator of such noted buildings as the AT&T building in New York City (dubbed 'the Chippendale building'), the Crystal Cathedral in California, and his own home 'the Glass House'.

Other LGBTQ architects of note hail from Brazil, Canada, Great Britain, Mexico, and Germany.

Interestingly, a recent survey of LGBTQ architects in the United Kingdom found that while most were very comfortable being out at the office, they were reticent about being out with clients or at the construction site.

HELP SUPPORT

2014 WORLD PRIDE CONFERENCE ON HUMAN RIGHTS THROUGH CROWDFUNDING DONATION

Worldpride.jpg

In June 2014, the University of Toronto (through the Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies) will be hosting the 2014 World Pride Human Rights Conference in Toronto, Canada. Over 250 people from around the world will be attending, including key-note speaker Johanna Siguroardottir, first LGBTQ head of state.

It is important that we offer travel, registration, and accommodation subsidies to LGBTQ individuals from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, India, and other areas, to promote support and networking opportunities to these LGBTQ hotspots.

PLEASE help us and show the support of the international LGBTQ community on this issue of human rights. A donation to their INDIGOGO CrowdFunding Project of as little as $50 goes a long way to helping organizers reach their goal of $15,000.

PLEASE MAKE A DONATION AT www.indiegog.com/projects/worldpride-human-rights-conference.
