Description
Transgender journalist, television host, and cricket commentator. Former member, Australian Defense Force. Cricket writer for The Spectator newspaper, a cricket commentator for The Australian, and the Australian Financial Review, and the author of the book 'An Indian Summer of Cricket' (2012). Queenslander of the Year (2015). Patron of Kaleidoscope Australia, a not-for-profit organisation focused on promoting and protecting the rights of LGBTI people in the Asia Pacific region, but subsequently left in 2015 when she disagreed with their Safe Schools program. In November 2013 McGregor was the highest ranking transgender individual in the Army, before she transferred to the Air Force in 2014 and retired in 2016. Also known as Catherine McGregor.
