Description
Documentary filmmaker with his partner Joe Wilson through their production company QWaves. Productions include 'Out in The Silence' (2009), an Emmy Award-winning documentary about how their wedding announcement in Wilson’s hometown newspaper opened up a larger story about the challenges facing LGBT people in small towns and rural communities. Other productions include 'Kumu Hina' (2014) and 'A Place in the Middle' (2014). Author of several nonfiction books including 'The Science of Desire' and 'The God Gene'. Previously worked in genetic sciences for the National Institutes of Health.
