Activist, writer. Forced to emigrate to Portugal when revolution occurred in his home country. Refused to hide his homosexuality, which earned him respect. Famous for his novels which contain openly homosexual characters. Novel, 'The Shadow of the Days' is an account of growing up gay in Mozambique.
