Description
Experimental surreal filmmaker with over 40 films to his credit, many of which examines issues of homosexuality or the occult. Notable films include 'Scorpio Rising' (1964) and 'Lucifer Rising' (1972). Considered a pioneer of the American underground film movement. Author of the landmark "Hollywood Babylon" books, which detailed the seamier side of the Hollywood film industry. Subject of the PBS television documentary 'Kenneth Anger's Magick'.
