Former host, 'Pick of the Pops', 'Top of the Pops', and the 'Saturday Rock Show' radio shows, with the weekly rundown of the singles charts. Member of the British Empire (1998). Lifetime achievement award, Sony Radio Academy Awards (2000). Bisexual.
