Former Member of Parliament for the province of British Columbia riding of Burnaby Douglas (2004-2011). Notable for attempting to enshrine transgender rights into the constitution. First openly gay non-incumbent man to be elected to Canada's House of Commons. Partner of Reverand Brian Burke.
