Editor of the magazine 'Views' (1940-1947). Notable collection of poems include 'The Garden of Disorder' (1938), and 'Sleep in a Nest of Flames' (1949). Began producing 'Prose Poems' - large, colourful collages that combined elements of poetry and pop art. Life partner was artist Pavel Tchelitchew.
