Noted for his documentary program 'Monarchy', which profiled the history of the English monarchy, and was shown on Channel 4 in the UK and PBS in the United States. Visiting professor, University of Kent. Founder of LGBTory, the LGBT organization linked to the Conservative party in Great Britain. Hosted a television series examining the historical relationship between the monarchy and British music. Author of numerous books on the subject, notably the best-selling 'Elizabeth: The Struggle for the Throne' (2000).
