Description

Painter, sculptor, and printmaker, noted for his contemporary minimalist abstract paintings which employ bright colours. Sculptures generally consist of large outdoor contemporary pieces made of aluminum, stainless steel, and bronze. Solo exhibitions have recently been held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (1998); Fogg Art Museum, Cambridge, Massachusetts (1999); San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (2002); Philadelphia Museum of Art (2007); and MoMA (2007). Listed as one of Vanity Fair Magazine's Top 10 living artists (December 2013).
