Description

Sociologist specializing in the field of masculinities, sport and sexuality. Professor of Masculinities, Sexualities and Sport at the University of Winchester. Fellow of the International Academy of Sex Research. Considered to be America's first openly gay high school sports coach. Author of his autobiography 'Trailblazing' (2000), and the books 'Inclusive Masculinity: The Changing Nature of Masculinities' (2009), 'The Monogamy Gap: Men, Love and the Reality of Cheating', (2012), 'Sport Theory and Social Problems' (2010), 'Training Games Coaching and Racing Creatively' (2006), and 'The Runners Textbook' (2009).
