Bisexual actor noted for his leading roles in Alfred Hitchcock films, notably 'Rope' and 'Strangers on a Train'. Also appeared in numerous theatre productions and television soap operas. Author of his memoirs 'Include Me Out' co-written by his domestic partner Robert Calhoun.
