Research specialties include phenomenology, queer and trans theory, feminist philosophy, 20th Century Continental philosophy, psychoanalysis, and disability studies. Author of the books 'Assuming a Body: Transgender and Rhetorics of Materiality' (2010, Lambda Literary Award) and 'The Life and Death of Latisha King: A Critical Phenomenology of Transphobia' (2018).
