Description

Award-winning, though controversial, journalist and social commentator. Contributor to the gay magazine 'The Body Politic'. Subject of obscenity charges from a controversial article 'Men Loving Boys Loving Men' (1977), for which he was acquitted on the grounds of free speech. Controversy also followed his revelation that he often was a prostitute while teaching journalism at Ryerson University, though following investigations found the media coverage scurrilous. Author of his autobiography 'Immoral, Indecent & Scurrilous: The Making of an Unrepentant Sex Radical' (2022). Recipient of 13 magazine writing awards over his career.
