Former New Democratic Party Member of the British Columbia Legislature (1996-2001) and Minister Minister of Small Business, Tourism and Culture (1998-2000) and Minister of Environment, Lands and Parks (2000-2001). Author of the books 'A Thirst to Die For' (2002), and his political memoir 'Take the Torch' (2018). Humanist. Bisexual.
