Description

Poet notable for his collection of homoerotic poetry, 'Narman' (the first gay-themed book of poetry written and published in Urdu), which when published caused a sensation and forced him into exile to the United States. Founder of Sangat, an organization which supports LGBTQ south-Asian youths. Inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame (1996). Full name is Iftikhar Nasim.
