Description

Born as Thomas James Gabel, transitioned to female, coming out as a transsexual woman in 2012. Best known as the founder, lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of the punk rock band 'Against Me!', which released the album 'Transgender Dysphoria Blues' which deals with the subject of the publicity surrounding her transition. Activist for the transgender community. Author of her memoir 'Tranny: Confessions Of Punk Rock’s Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout' (2016). In a relationship with fellow singer Beatrice Martin.
