Description

Screenwriter and film director. Lover of Nobel Prize-winning author Andre Gide during his youth, and admirer of Jean Cocteau later in life. Of his fifty motion pictures, he is particularly noted for the film 'Fanny'. He is noted for developing many French stars of the time, including Jeanne Moreau and Brigitte Bardot.
