Description

Former Member of Parliament (1975-1984), and the youngest in New Zealand history when first elected. Professor of Public Policy at the Institute of Public Policy at AUT University since 2006. Feminist and activist for human rights. Notable books include 'If Women Counted' (1988). Former Board Member, Reserve Bank of New Zealand (2005-2009). Appointed a Companion, the New Zealand Order of Merit (2008), among many other awards.
