Description

Tried a citizens's arrest on Robert Mugabe and was beaten up for this. Member of the Gay Liberation Front; founder of OutRage! Prolific writer in the gay and lesbian press. Ran unsuccessfully for parliamentary political office on a number of occasions. Columnist, including the newspaper 'The Guardian' and 'New Statesmen'. Author of several books, notably 'Aids: A Guide to Survival' (1987), 'Europe in the Pink' (1992), and 'We Don't Want to March Straight: Masculinity, Queers and the Military' (1995). The Peter Tatchell Foundation is a human rights organization. Recipient of numerous awards for his activism.
