Born as Miguel Ángel Osorio Benítez, but adopted Porfirio Barba-Jacob as a pseudonym after his first novel, 'Virginia' was confiscated as being immoral. Contributed to many magazines and journals while living in Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and other countries.
