Description

Professor of Women's and Gender Studies, San Francisco State University (1973-1992) and author of numerous books on the subject. Believed to be the first open lesbian tenured faculty position in the country. Author of science fiction novels, notably 'The WanderGround' (1978). LGBTQ activist. The Sally Miller Gearhart Chair and Fund in Lesbian Studies was created at the University of Oregon in her honour.
