Chief Executive Officer of OpenAI and cofounder of Loopt (location-based social networking mobile application) technology companies. Involved in an incident where he was fired as Chief Executive Officer an OpenAI, briefly joined Microsoft's AI team, then was re-hired within a week after employee and customer outrage forced the Board to resign (2023). Former President of Y Combinator and was briefly the Chief Executive Officer of Reddit. Invests in technology startups and nuclear energy companies. Named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2023. GLAAD recognized him with the Ric Weiland Award for promoting LGBTQ equality and acceptance in the tech sector (2017).
