Description

Mayor of Luxembourg City as well as a member of the Chamber of Deputies and communal council, representing the Democratic Party, since 2011. Recent speculation has him as a strong candidate to become head of state as he was recently given the task of forming a new government. First elected to municipal politics in 1999, has successively strengthened his political position, becoming Mayor of Luxembourg City in 2011. Elected leader of the Democratic Party in early 2013.
