Description
Communications advisor with agency firm Quiller since 2014. Formerly head of communications with Christies, and Vice-Chairman of Corporate Affairs at Barclays. Former Press Chief for Whitehall. Former Prime Minister John Major's political secretary in 1994. After the Tory defeat in 1997, he set up his own PR agency Brown Lloyd James but returned to Whitehall in 2004 as permanent secretary in charge of government communications, based in the Cabinet Office. BBC's first ever director of corporate affairs.
