Description
Owner (along with her family) since 2009 of the Chicago Cubs professional baseball team, being the only openly-gay owner of a major league men's sports franchise. Areas of responsibility is government relations, community relations and philanthropy, specifically through the Cubs Care charitable giving. Formerly worked at a law firm before leaving to co-found the internet venture Ecotravel, LLC, where she is still the president. Board member, Lambda Legal and Housing Opportunities for Women. Co-chairs the Democratic National Committee's LGBT Leadership Council nationally. Member, Chicago Gay & Lesbian Hall of Fame. LGBTQ activist.
