Producer of the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo (1909 - 1929). Famous promoter of Russian ballet, opera singers to the west, particularly Paris and New York. Introduced the great Russian ballet dancer Vaslav Nijinski to western audiences in the 1909 tour of the Bolshoi Ballet company. Also known as Sergei Diaghilev.
