Visual artist who produced under the simple name Jess. An accomplished painter, he often used a variety of images and found items, combined them together, and used the collective of individual parts to create a new vision. Partner of poet Robert Duncan, for which the relationship is detailed in the biography 'The Householders: Robert Duncan and Jess' (2019). Born as Burgess Collins.
