Description
Library Assistant, Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Arnold Arboretum Horticultural Library. Work includes reference and technical services, cataloging monographs and serials, digitization projects, metadata curation, social media management, archival processing, and web design. Her interests include digital humanities, critical pedagogy, history, and literature. Her other research interests include Women's History, Latin American History and Studies, Byzantine History and Studies, Map Librarianship/GIS, Geopolitics, The Cold War, Writing, Transgender Studies, Popular Media. Larissa is a member of Special Libraries Association (SLA), American Library Association (ALA), Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), the Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries (CBHL). She was Chair of the Publications Committee for CBHL (2015-2017), and produced the CBHL Newsletter (2011-2017). She is a Member of The Digital Commonwealth, Member of the Horror Writers Association (HWA). She has advocated for trans-inclusive healthcare on campus for over twenty years. Larissa is an author of genre fiction centered on the lives of trans women, library science, and heavy metal.
