Description
Fashion designer, television personality, and Creative Director of Xcel Brands, which purchased his brand in 2011. Recipient of the Perry Ellis Award (now called the Swarovski Emerging Talent Award) in 1988 and Women's Wear Designer of the Year (1989). Theatre, dance and ballet costume designer. Exhibition devoted to his career 'Isaac Mizrahi: An Unruly History' opened at the Jewish Museum in New York City in 2016. Author of his autobiography 'I.M.' (2019).
