Description
Ballet dancer and choreographer, initially with Sergey Diaghilev's Ballet Russes (where he was, briefly, his lover), and later as founder of the short-lived Les Ballets 1933 and then the Ballets des Champs-Élysées. Ended his career as ballet director with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. Late partner was designer Christian Berard.
