Description

Biographer, notably of the books 'Jackson Pollock: An American Saga' (1989, Pulitzer Prize in 1991) and 'Van Gogh: The Life' (2011). Founded the legal publishing company Best Lawyers in 1981. His struggles with brain tumours was documented in his book 'Making Miracles Happen' (1997). Partner was Steven Naifeh, for which they co-authored numerous self-help books.
