Fashion designer. Chair of the Board, Council of Fashion Designers of America (2019). Chair of Amfar. Film director, notably for Oscar-nominated 'A Single Man' (2009) and 'Nocturnal Animals' (2016). Council of Fashion Designers of America's award for Designer of the Year, 1995. Former Creative Director, Gucci (1994-1999) and Yves Saint Laurent (1999-2004) fashion houses. Launched his own fashion line in 2006. Partner was fashion editor Richard Buckley.
