Description
Judge on the New York-based 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, making her only the second openly LGBT+ woman to serve on a federal appeals court at the time of her appointment. Former Federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (2011-2022). Former special assistant to President Barack Obama and also as Associate White House Counsel, 2009-2010. Has worked for various LGBTQ organizations, including Lambda Legal.
