Stage and costume designer, painter, diarist. Noted photographer of royalty and stars, with a camp aesthetic. Most noted stage set designs include Broadway theatre productions of 'Lady Windermere's Fan' and 'My Fair Lady'. He won four Tony Awards for costume design and three Academy Awards.
