Description
Tory MP for Rutland and Melton. Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (2016-2019) who resigned his post in protest of a possible win by Boris Johnson as leader of the Tory Party in 2019. Former Minister of State, Department of International Development (2010-2014). First Tory MP to voluntarily come out as homosexual. Appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (2014).
