Description
Former Chief Executive Officer, Quantas Airways Limited (2008-2013), the national airline of Australia. Formerly with the Irish airline, Aer Lingus, and with Ansett Australia. Gained international recognition with his controversial attempt to reign in costs of Quantas Airlines, including a temporary shutdown in 2011. Supporter of equal marriage rights in Australia. Appointed to the Order of Australia (2017).
