Description
Deputy of the Parliament of Spain since 2011. Former Alderman of the City of Madrid (2007-2011). Activist for women's rights and an expert on violence against women, being head of the Department of Prevention of Violence in Women Foundation from 1999 to 2007. Founder, coordinator and spokesperson for the National Network against Gender Violence from 2000 to 2004, and is vice president of the feminist association Enclave and member of the board of Women Foundation. Sometimes known as Angeles Alvarez. Head of the Secretariat of Equality Policies of the Regional Executive of the Socialist Party in Madrid, 2007. Head of the Secretariat of Electoral Action of the Regional Executive of the Socialist Party in Madrid, 2008-2011. Also known as Angeles Alvarez.
