Two-time PEN Emerging Voices Fellow (2004 and 2010). First novel 'Tomorrow They Will Kiss' received Best Historical Novel and Best First Book honors at the International Latino Book Awards and was a finalist for the Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction. Second novel was 'Midnight Rumba' (2012).
