President of George Washington University since 2023, being the first woman and first lesbian individual to hold the position. Former provost and senior vice president of academic affairs in New York at the Rochester Institute of Technology, prior to which she was an academic at Clemson University. Sociologist, and her doctoral thesis was on self-identity based on health outcomes.
