Description
Disc Jockey, record producer, and musician known for his role in the promotion of house music and electronic music. Often referred to as 'the godfather of house music' for his role in popularizing this genre of music. Won the Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year, Non-Classical (1997). Notable albums include 'Beyond the Mix' (1991) and 'Welcome to the Real World' (1995). Inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame (1996).
