Description
Jazz vibraphonist. Known for developing a pianistic style with the vibraphone, for pairing his music with other artists, and for his educational work. Though married twice and with children, came out as gay in 1994 and lives with his partner Jonathan Chong. Instructor at Berklee. Jazzman of the Year, Downbeat Magazine (1969).
