Description

Member of the Bundestag (parliament) from 1985 to 1987, being the first openly-gay member in Germany, as a member of the Greens Party. Co-founded the organisation Homo Heidelbergensis (1972), the first gay group in Heidelberg. Continues to work with different AIDS groups supporting research, advocacy, and efforts to end stigma.
