Description
Liberal party member of the Nova Scotia Legislative Assembly since 2013 for the region of Dartmouth North, being the first open LGBTQ person to hold such office. Serves as Minister of Community Services as well as Minister responsible for the Disabled Persons Commission Act. Has held positions on the Board of Directors of Bryony House, Silent Witness Nova Scotia, Federation of Community Organizations, Metro Interagency Committee on Family Violence, Public Good Society of Dartmouth and the Dartmouth Community Network.
