Description
Transgender activist who lived her life as a woman since aged fifteen. Was discovered as male during a review of all employees of her brothel in California in 1945. Law enforcement voided her marriage and charged them both with perjury. Given a probationary sentence, only to be charged again for perjury when it was discovered she was receiving her late husband's allotment cheques. Found guilty and served a prison term.
