Associate Professor of History, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses and is MA Program Coordinator. President of the Southwest Oral History Association. Author of the books 'Different Daughters: A History of the Daughters of Bilitis and the Rise of the Lesbian Rights Movement' (2006, Lambda Literary Award) and '“No One Helped”: Kitty Genovese, New York City, and the Myth of Urban Apathy' (2015, Lambda Literary Award). Research explores the impact of radical lesbian and feminist activism on LGBTQ politics from the 1970s through the end of the twentieth century. Board member, Lambda Literary.
