Former evangelical clergyman who was ghostwriter for many popular televangelists. Came out as gay in 1994 and turned to ministering to the LGBTQ community with the Metropolitan Community Church. Author of his autobiography Stranger at the Gate: To be Gay and Christian in America (1994) among his many other books.
