Description

First openly gay Imam, a member of the international advisory board of the Hirschfeld-Eddy Foundation and director of The Inner Circle (Islamic Organization for the Social and Spiritual advancement of Sexually Diverse Groups and Individuals, South Africa) helping Muslims who are struggling to accept their sexuality. The subject of a 2022 documentary called 'The Radical'. Died from gunshot wounds in a targetted attack.
