Outstanding LGBTQ Youths of 2016
QueerBio.Com is pleased to present its annual list of Outstanding LGBTQ Youths for the year. The biographies of these individuals were added to the biographical website during the year when their actions and achievements came to the attention of the editors. Some have faced great risk to their personal lives by being publicly identified as LGBTQ. All have used their skills or served as role models to help others live their lives openly.
Each has made a material impact in their field of interest. These fields include activism, sports, politics, the military, fashion and entertainment.
It is particularly notable the large number of transgender individuals appearing on the list this year. This reflects the increased visibility, activism, and confidence within the community and across the age spectrum.

- Casil McArthur, United States - transgender fashion model.
- Mitch Price, Great Britain - Stonewall's Young Campaigner of the Year.
- AJ Selfridge, Great Britain - Stonewall's Young Campaigner of the Year.
- Jesus Tomillero, Spain - Football referee who faced bullying and death threats.
- Aaron Wixson, United States - first individual to come out after the U.S. military adopted a policy of accepting open transgender personnel in 2016.
